Interwoven

In Interwoven, I examine the widespread disconnection in today's world by using bold colors and geometric shapes to symbolize the potential for love to return even when it feels absent. Through this series, I aim to inspire hope and convey that, despite the fragmentation caused by technology, love persists and can help us reconnect and find optimism in the spaces between us.

  • Beneath a tranquil sea of blue, silent currents move with purpose unseen. They carry the hushed hopes of distant hearts, drawing them together like rivers converging toward a boundless ocean of possibility.

  • In the quiet embrace of solitude, shadows whisper tales of longing. Yet even in the depths of isolation, a soft glow hints at the dawn—a promise that from the darkest soils, the first seeds of connection begin to stir.

Thresholds

After a door slammed shut, ending a chapter of his life and leaving him feeling lost, he found another quietly opening; stepping through, he discovered new opportunities and realized that closures aren't final but transitions guiding him to something greater.

  • He explores the courage it takes to cross the threshold of the unknown. It’s about taking the first step into a new phase of life, where fear gives way to discovery and possibility.

Portals

Life is like a rose that grows and endures storms—teaching us to accept and let go of uncontrollable changes, knowing that hardships, like rain on a rose, will pass.

  • With nothing but hope and determination, He embarked on his journey. In the bustling yellow-lit streets of New York City, he faced numerous challenges but remained audacious.
His journey, painted in shades of green, yellow, and orange, became a testament to the power of resilience and the beauty of living one’s truth. He conquered every obstacle, ensuring a future as bright as the colors that guided him.

  • Last year, these same colors had inspired him to embrace his identity. The bold dark pinks and vibrant turquoise had mirrored his feelings, urging him to love openly. Now, with his partner, by his side, every summer sunset felt like a celebration of their journey together.

  • In that moment, he felt a deep sense of celebration. His skin, his culture, his story—everything that made him who he was—were not just accepted but celebrated. He realized that his heritage was a powerful tapestry of strength and beauty, something to be shared with the world.

  • For him, the sky was not just an artistic muse; it was a testament to resilience, change, and the enduring power of love. In its vastness, he found a reflection of his own spirit, a spirit that, like the sky, was vast, complex, and endlessly evolving. And in sharing that sky with him, he discovered a new kind of freedom, one that allowed him to soar higher and dream bigger than ever before.

  • From that day forward, that forest became more than just a sanctuary for him. It was a place of love, where he and him created new memories, their bond as vibrant and enduring as the turquoise tones that had brought them together.

  • The red, purple, and blue that once represented his struggle now stood for his triumph. Red became the color of passion and love, purple of dignity and strength, and blue of the peace he finally found.
His life was no longer defined by his struggles but by his courage to be himself. He had painted his way out of darkness, creating a masterpiece of a life lived in full, vibrant colors.

  • In the end, the citrus groves, with their steadfast resilience and abundant harvests, had shown him the way. His journey, painted in the vivid hues of lemons, limes, and oranges, was a testament to the power of perseverance and the sweetness of triumph after adversity.

  • Gradually, his luck began to change. He met other artists, formed a collective, and they organized small exhibitions. Word of his unique, vibrant style spread. A local curator noticed his work and offered him a solo show.

The exhibition was a success, leading to more opportunities. Years passed, and his art began to feature in major galleries across Europe. His name became synonymous of innovation and passion.

  • Every evening at dusk, he climbed the hill overlooking the sea, filled with hope about the legend of the "Sunset Portal." One day, as the sky blazed with hues of gold and violet, a shimmering gateway appeared. Heart soaring, he stepped into the radiant light.

Self Reflection

After finding inspiration in Madrid museums and discovering a discarded canvas in Amsterdam, I began drawing again and rediscovered myself by reconnecting with the art I loved as a teenager.

  • Testing, failing, exploring but most of all believing in telling a story about himself through a brush.

Regaining control of his own destiny, reaching for a goal that will soon be illustrated, he said it out loud.

  • Reclaiming a territory that was always his but forgotten due to life circumstances.
Experiences made him grow and he’s now back in control to reconquer that light of his own.

His hands had touched so many lives.
Now, it is time to reach for the light. The light he had been trying so hard to track down.
Now, it was his time. Now, it is his time.

  • “Dirty roads are not always easy to walk on,” he said with tears running down because he couldn’t spot his most precious talent.
He took his feet and put them in his hands remembering that his grandma had told him his hands were gifted and that was the only way he was going to be able to move further in life.

  • He stood up, cleaned up his knees and fearless, he chose to push his own boundaries. He decided to go where just a few would dare to roll.
Zu asche , Zu staub (to ashes, to dust) he said it out loud as he was convinced that it’s better to regret something you do than something you didn’t.

With a world crumbling down, he just took the key pieces necessary to start from zero and began a new journey into an unexplored territory.

Zu asche , Zu staub (to ashes, to dust) was a phrase that got stuck in head since the moment Julian died. It was time for the new-old him to come back to life.

By acknowledging but not letting the voices in your head define you, you empower yourself to move forward or rewrite your story, knowing that as long as you're breathing, nothing can stand in your way.

Glimmers of Character

Traveling through diverse landscapes that deeply moved him, he realized every new view is a doorway to deeper understanding and connection.

  • He arrived in Capri in the summer of 2022, drawn by tales of its breathtaking beauty and the bohemian community that thrived there. The island’s stunning cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and lush gardens were unlike anything he had ever seen. He quickly fell in love with the place and the freedom it offered.

    18'x24' (inches)

  • When the train crossed the border into Spain coming from Capri, he felt the air change. It was warmer, infused with the distant breath of the Sahara. The wind carried fine grains of sand, whispering secrets of lands beyond. Inspired, he pulled out his sketchbook, the colors of the desert dancing in his mind.

Acrylic, Oil, Plaster and Mixed Materials on Canvas.

    20'x24'(inches)

  • Traveling south, he arrived in Provence, where the lavender fields stretched endlessly under the sun. Here, he found tranquility and a deeper understanding of his identity. He met fellow artists who encouraged him to embrace every part of himself, and their acceptance fueled his creativity. Finally, he reached Málaga, a city bathed in golden light and rich in artistic heritage. As he set up his first solo exhibition, he felt a profound sense of pride. The journey had not just been about reaching a destination but about becoming the person he had always wanted to be. Surrounded by his art, he realized he was ready to share his true self with the world. His heart, once guarded, was now open, vibrant, and alive, just like the paintings that surrounded him.

The Facets of Transition

"The Facets of Transition" captures stages of change through layered geometric art, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty and complexity of personal evolution.

  • This piece captures the moment just before change—when the door behind us closes. Using sharp angles and darker hues, it speaks to the finality and weight of decisions made. It evokes a feeling of tension, where old forms dissolve into uncertainty, yet the possibility of renewal lingers beneath the surface.

Mixed recycled materials, acrylic and oil on canvas.

    Dimensions: 30’x40’

    SOLD

  • The transition is in full motion, yet undefined. Shapes shift and overlap, with soft curves breaking into angular lines, representing the chaos and ambiguity of being in-between states. Muted tones blend and blur, as the present begins to give way to the future, but clarity has not yet been reached.

Mixed recycled materials, acrylic and oil on canvas.

    Dimensions: 30x40

    SOLD

  • In the final piece, the door opens into a new beginning. Bright, geometric patterns burst forward, symbolizing a release and acceptance of the unknown. Here, transition is complete—a new path forged, with bold lines and vibrant colors suggesting hope, energy, and the excitement of what lies ahead.
